Is there scientific support for Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy is a healing art, it cannot be practiced without the therapist’s comprehension of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology. The therapist combines these bodies of knowledge to determine how the body responds to a specific treatment in order to produce the expected outcome. The massage therapist manipulates the correct anatomical structures to decrease or eliminate your symptoms or complaints.

Scientific Research in Massage Therapy is ever-expanding. Scientists confirms the efficacy of massage therapy by measuring certain factors such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, levels of hormones in the blood (such as endorphins, cortisol, epinephrine and nor epinephrine), muscle tone, flexibility and function, even levels of anxiety and depression before, during and after a massage treatment.
