Initial Visit
This visit is used to collect as much information about your health as possible. This includes information about your chief concerns, health history, family health history, information on diet, sleep and lifestyle. Your most recent blood work and other laboratory tests will also be reviewed. Furthermore, your expectations for treatment will be addressed.
The Naturopathic Doctor will also perform a complaint based physical examination during the first visit, and a complete physical exam will be completed by the end of the second visit.
The first visit usually lasts 60-90 minutes. Homeopathic initial consultations may last as long as 90-120 minutes.
Subsequent Visits
During the subsequent visits, treatment protocols will be explained, implemented, and treatment progress will be monitored. Subsequent visits usually last 20-30 minutes.
OHIP Coverage
Visits to a Naturopathic Doctor are not covered by OHIP. However, many private health insurance plans will provide coverage. Please check your benefits package for details.
